Social Media for Salespeople?

When it comes to social media the ideal user you might have in mind are teenagers, but salespeople can actually benefit greatly from having social media accounts. These accounts can include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, just to name a few. It is good to have a profile on multiple social media accounts, but it is important to make sure that the site is beneficial to your business. For example, if your target market is elderly men, you wouldn't focus on Instagram that much. That would be a good scenario to focus heavy on Facebook, and research any other sites that elderly men could be using. Another important part when it comes to social media for salespeople is etiquette/professionalism. Your profiles should include achievements and previous experience, and even some hobbies. A profile should never include vulgar of offensive pictures/posts, and if it is a profile for business, try to avoid controversial topics as well. Overall, salespeople can benefit from social media accounts, if it is done correctly.
